About

After beginning his career in 1981, Attorney Traystman spent the next four years practicing as a general practitioner in the Connecticut courts with an emphasis on Litigation. Commencing in 1985, Attorney Traystman moved his practice to family law; handling divorce, custody, visitation, post-judgment modification, and support matters including alimony and child support. Attorney Traystman has handled thousands of divorces, divorce-related issues, post-judgment modifications and has conducted multi-day trials in various family courts across the state. He is acknowledged throughout the court system as a uniquely experienced and talented family court practitioner.

Attorney Traystman has represented a wide spectrum of clients, from blue collar workers to celebrities and CEO’s of various corporations. Civil & Criminal Litigator

Attorney Coric is a highly regarded and experienced civil, criminal, and family law litigator who represents clients in a variety of civil litigation and criminal defense matters in Federal, State and Tribal courts. Attorney Coric has tried numerous, multi-day, civil jury, criminal jury, civil courtside, and criminal courtside cases to completion. Attorney Coric’s civil litigation experience includes representing both plaintiffs and defendants in personal injury claims involving motor vehicle and boating accidents, premises liability, workplace accidents, product liability, medical, dental and legal malpractice claims, civil rights violations, property disputes, contract disputes, family law disputes (including custody, visitation, dissolution and post-dissolution actions), paternity petitions, gaming licensure claims, motor vehicle licensure issues, contested probate matters, and representation of NCAA Division I personnel in investigatory enforcement proceedings, and before the NCAA Infractions Committee.

Attorney Coric’s criminal defense experience includes representing defendants in Federal, State (Part A & Part B) and Tribal courts, charged with a variety of felonies, misdemeanors, infractions, and motor vehicle violations. Attorney Coric has also handled several cases involving multinational jurisdictional disputes over child custody matters, including cases involving both participating countries in the Hague Convention and non-participating countries.

Attorney Coric has served as a board member of Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Southeastern Connecticut, a fundraising chairman for March of Dimes and chairman of the NBA and NCAA sanctioned Shoot Straight Basketball League at Connecticut College. Attorney Coric has also offered testimony before the judiciary committee of the Connecticut Legislature supporting a bill mandating the use of extended alcohol monitoring for repeat-offender drunk drivers.

Since joining Traystman & Coric, LLC in 2013, Attorney Layton has practiced in the areas of civil litigation, criminal defense and appellate advocacy. Attorney Layton’s civil litigation practice focuses primarily on personal injury matters involving motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, uninsured and underinsured motorist claims, medical and dental malpractice, dog bites and product liability. Attorney Layton’s criminal practice includes representing individuals charged with a variety of offenses including operating under the influence, reckless driving, operating under suspension, assault, sexual assault, threatening, harassment, larceny, illegal possession of a controlled substance, and illegal possession of an assault weapon. Attorney Layton has also briefed and argued a variety of cases before the Appellate Court of Connecticut. Attorney Brandon H. Marley joined the law firm in 2020 after nine years of practice with local general practice law firms. He brings with him a diverse knowledge and background of representing plaintiffs and defendants in a full spectrum of civil and criminal cases.

In 2016, Attorney Marley won a jury trial with an amount over $30,000.00 against a landlord who wrongfully withheld a security deposit.

Attorney Marley was raised in Mystic and is a graduate of Robert E. Fitch Senior High School. He attended Eastern Connecticut State University and went on to attend Oklahoma City University School of Law, graduating in 2010 with a J.D.
